Triptych News

The Triptych left Friday, August 28th at 3pm for it's new life in Mississauga (which is just west of Toronto). I have requested photos of the pieces after they have been re-stretched and hung for display. Of all the work I have done, these 3 paintings will have the most exciting life. They will be hanging in the showroom of a large office automation supplier. Hundreds of people will pass by and view them everyday. Once I have some pictures of their new home I will post them on the blog. Please Note: This is not to say that all my other paintings hanging in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, etc. are not living fabulous lives in private collections. I appreciate their owners and the homes they have supplied for this work.

Size & Perspective

This will give you more of an idea of the size of the triptych. I shot this this morning at 7am prior to starting to work on the detail work that has to be done. As you can see it almost covers the entire end of our house. It has been a juggling act moving and working on each canvas because my work space is only 10'x10'.

Juan De Fuca Opus #1 The triptych is almost completed. It's overall size is 48"H x 15'W. It consists of 3 panels each being 48"H x 60"W. It has been in development since early March this year and was put on hold until July. I have still a number of hours of work left and will hopefully put the piece to bed within the week. I hope you enjoy the work. It has been difficult to photograph the piece due to it's size and the ever changing light in the studio. SOLD
